How much does it cost to raise a child per year?

How much could I expect to spend raising a child?- just the basics, not including an extra room in my house, b/c I already have one. My employer offers a 30% discount off daycare, paid with pre-tax deduction, but I don't know how much it is to begin with. I plan on buying everything at either Walmart or Goodwill (honestly, don't kids look cute in whatever they wear?) I can feed for the 8 weeks paid off by my employer, but would have to wean by then and switch to formula. I am open to using cloth diapers, but don't know if daycare will be (I know what I am getting in to, b/c I used these on my sister and did most of the changing). Our combined income is about 66,000 before taxes, but varies due to profit sharing. We are both due raises in the next 9 months- me about .50/hr and fiance 2.00/hr. I don't even know if I have a bun in the oven or not- I'm just 1 day late and am on the pill. My health insurance is 80/20, so I think medical costs may be the biggest expense.
