What is the earliest a baby can show signs of teething?

technically a baby could be born with teeth.. sometimes the tooth will be mildly visable through the gums but doesn't actually come out for a while.. keep the area clean, a wet face cloth rubs softly over the area will do it. maybe think about buying a few teething toys for chewing on when the tooth starts to actually erupt above the gumline.
