How to get a guy to notice me and ask me to the dance?

theres this guy that i really like. we're in 7th grade, and theres a dance in about 2 weeks. i really want him to ask me, but my best friend also likes him. she gets all the guys, and im afraid that he'll go with her instead. how can i get him to think im pretty and ask me out? please,, guys answer. if u want to know what i look like, i have long wavy dirty blonde hair, heart shaped face, rosy cheeks, full bottom lip, thin top lip, small nose, large, chocolate brown eyes, long, thin lashes, pale skin. please help!
