Is my water ok for a parrot to drink and bathe in?

I will be getting a quaker parrot in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if my water was ok for drinking and bathing in for the bird? I have softened well water. If your not sure does anyone know what I need to get the water tested for to find out if it's fine? ex. Calcium, Iron...
