Why is it that evey girl i like are like punk rock kinda girls.....?

in high school I was jock/preppy kinda kids and i doubt i still have changed much but all the girls i like or feel connected with are girls that have few piercings and tats and i have zero piercings and no tats i'm in the military (marines reserves but thinking about going active once i get my degree) for some reason i find it weird coz i hang out wiht a totally different kinda ppl
